Background
The Women’s Getaway was birthed out of the desire to revive lost ambitions and dreams of women. This objective is the brainchild behind The Women’s Getaway, which was launched on 8 March, 2019 by her Royal Highness the Queen of Buganda, Sylvia Nagginda. The keynote speaker was Caroline Mutoko, a powerful inspirational speaker and Chief Marketing Officer of Radio Africa Group Nairobi, Kenya. Under the theme, “Recharge: Mind, Body & Soul”, it was a weekend of inspiration, self-improvement, and fun purposed to deliver a combination of personal, emotional and social well being to over 250 women from all walks of life.
Subsequently, in 2021 we celebrated the women’s month with an intimate high tea at Latidude 0 Kampala and 2022 when we hosted Catherine Kariuki a.k.a Fashionable Step mum from Nairobi-Kenya; renowned fashion blogger, digital marketer, and certified Image Consultant and a mother of six, under the theme ‘Know your worth”
